Li Zhi (1527-1602), also known as Li Zaizhi and Lin Zaizhi. His courtesy name is Hongfu, his nickname is Zhuowu, and his nickname is Wenling Jushi. A native of Quanzhou, Fujian Province, he was elected in the 31st year of the Jiajing reign. He successively held the positions of Huixian Jiaoyu, Guozi Doctor, and Yao'an Magistrate. He is the author of "Burning Books", "Continued Burning Books", "Collection of Books", "Extended Collection of Books", "Historical Outline and Commentary" and other books. Li Zhi was born into a merchant family in the port city of Quanzhou in the mid-Ming Dynasty. He held a relatively open concept of social development and cultural thought, and had profound reflections and criticisms on traditional Taoism. He was an influential thinker and writer in the mid-to-late Ming Dynasty. This book uses a set of short stories to show the important events in the life of this cultural figure.
