Synopsis
Li Yan, a top modern history student, unexpectedly transmigrates into a parallel version of the Western Han dynasty and becomes the young Huo Qubing. Armed with only a vague understanding of how history is supposed to unfold, he must navigate an age of bloodshed and political intrigue, setting out on a fated path of glory and brevity under the title of Champion Marquis.
When his modern perspective brings him face to face with Attila, a Xiongnu princess, national enmity, family vendettas, and inexplicable feelings become entangled at the edge of a blade. Under Emperor Wu's penetrating gaze and the mountain-like pressure of Wei Qing, he carefully maneuvers through palace intrigues. From taming a wild horse at Chang'an's training grounds and making his first impression to launching a lightning-strike attack that defeats the enemy in the Hexi campaign, he tries to change the course of battle with tactics ahead of their time, and hopes even more to escape the curse of dying young.
Amid flashing blades, he is the weapon Emperor Wu wields to cut down the Xiongnu, and a transmigrator struggling to survive in a whirlpool of political intrigue. Behind the glory of his campaign at Mount Langjuxu lie the schemes of the Xiongnu royal court, deadly plots deep within the Han palace, and the dangerous game of love and hate between him and Attila.
This is a passionate journey that overturns history, and a brutal struggle against fate. See how a modern soul stirs up a storm in the age of cold weapons and carves a defiant path through a vast army. He aims not only to leave his name in the annals as the Champion Marquis, but also to fight his way to a chance at life for himself and those he cherishes amid the bloodstained years.
