She Hides in Your Eyes

[Bittersweet | Mutual healing | Campus unrequited love | BE | Slow burn]

A timid, sensitive, well-behaved girl × a cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside stubborn young master

The first time Jiang Chi met Yu Heng, he coldly asked, “Why are you crying?”

Jiang Chi was too scared to look up. She timidly tugged on his sleeve and pleaded,

“...Could you take me in and bring me home?”

His expression was icy, his tone resolute. “I don't want to bring home a burden!”

--

Later, Yu Heng, the pampered young master who had always had everything, fell in love. When he finally looked back, he realized the girl he loved was already gone.

When he saw Jiang Chi in a photograph again, Yu Heng could no longer hold back his emotions. He choked out, “Jiang Chi, where are you? I miss you so much...”

But the nameless gravestone gave no answer.

Only the suicide note read: Yu Heng, I hate you!

--

The wind blew too hard in their second year of high school.

Summer couldn't hold on to the moon, and the night never ended.

Jiang Chi died in the darkness, and Yu Heng never found her again.

He remembered how, beneath the brilliant fireworks, Jiang Chi had blushed and asked him,

“What do you want to bet?”

“That you'll fall for me!”

“...”

But in the end, she would never love him again.

She gave her life to set him free.
