[Drafting in progress]
(The protagonist is very much a straight-laced guy by temperament, with a tendency to avoid people both physically and emotionally. He hates being around others, though he starts to improve after the first instance.)
The terrifying infinite game Abyssal Corridor, with a death rate of 99%, descends upon the world. While countless players struggle to survive in its instances and rack their brains to clear them, Lin Xingchui, a former farming-game streamer, takes a completely different approach.
He sets up improved Peashooters on the city walls, collects resentment crystals for fertilizer, and grows exorcist sunflowers in abandoned greenhouses to purify the yin energy.
While everyone else fights over water and weapons, he manages to grow miraculous pumpkins in a radiation zone that can purify the soil.
As other players scream and flee, risking their lives to clear the instances, Lin Xingchui is always busy loosening the soil, sowing seeds, fertilizing, and watering. He even puts the terrifying bosses in each instance to work for free.
“Points? What are those? Can I trade them for rare seeds?”
“Clear the instance? Wait, my top-quality moonlight grass hasn’t ripened yet!”
At first, the players mock him: “This idiot’s farming in an instance? He won’t last three minutes!”
Then they’re stunned: “Holy crap! He bribed an instance boss with a man-eating flower?!”
And finally, they’re all begging him: “Lin, please sell me a Blast Pumpkin! I’ve got plenty of points!”
And so Lin Xingchui rockets to the top of Abyssal Corridor’s points leaderboard at an utterly unbelievable speed.
All the players: ???
“Dude, is this even how you play?!”
As Lin Xingchui gazes at his bountiful spirit fields, he wears a simple, contented smile. “An infinite game? Isn’t it just farming in a different place? First place? Yeah, that was easy.”
