From "waste cat demon" to "Venerable Xuanling".
The black cat Xuanling was regarded as a shame by the cat demon clan because of his extremely poor talent in cultivation, and was eventually forced to leave the clan. After being bullied in the demon world, it fled to the human world, but was rejected because of its unknown coat color. When it was about to die, it was rescued by Qingyuan, a young monk from Mount Wutai. It spent peaceful years in a Buddhist temple and gradually became enlightened. After Qingyuan passed away, Xuanling was enlightened by the Buddha, determined to repay his kindness, and embarked on a journey to find Qingyuan's reincarnation.
