Yaochuan: a city that never sleeps,
and a city filled with hidden crime.
Late at night, a livestreamer is found dead in a rented apartment, with an earring left beside her.
She is covered in luxury goods, yet has no legitimate source of income on record.
Criminal police officer Qin Lie, forensic examiner Gu Chen, and forensic investigator Lin Yuyao join forces to investigate,
but their search unexpectedly leads them to an unsolved case from three years ago.
The methods are strikingly similar, and the victim’s identity is a mystery.
A serial killer imitating the old case may be nothing more than a smokescreen.
As the investigation deepens,
they gradually reach the dark corners of the city that no one wants to see.
When the truth comes to light, they must face one question:
Who is really killing people, and who is covering up the truth?
