The Emperor's Calamity
Mo Chen was a gifted young cultivator, but at a blood-soaked altar, his master, Yu Xuanzi, carved out his innate spirit vein, the “Dao Seed” containing limitless potential, turning him into a stepping stone on the road to immortality. On the brink of death, his overwhelming hatred roused his shattered soul to trigger an ancient ferocious formation against its master. He wrested back his source power from Yu Xuanzi and was reborn through the flames of the Chaos Dao!
Reborn in a ruined cavern underground, he drags his broken body onward, absorbs the impure spiritual energy of the earth's ley lines, and uses the Chaos Dao Flame to temper his bones and blood and forge new meridians, carving out a sliver of life amid decay and death. Meanwhile, Yu Xuanzi is severely weakened by the Dao Seed's backlash and vows to “extract his soul and refine his spirit,” determined to grind this “traitorous disciple” to dust!
As he flees, Mo Chen gradually uncovers the secret of his own power: the Chaos Dao Flame is not merely a blade of vengeance, but is also tied to the mysteries of the ancient ferocious formation and the great chess game of Heaven and Earth. From an abandoned pawn at the altar to a cultivator rising from a ruined cavern, he wields hatred as a sword, crosses mountains of corpses and seas of blood, and refines countless foul energies for his own use. Through the spiral of “betrayal, rebirth, and revenge,” he realizes that cultivation is nothing less than defying Heaven's will!
Watch as this boy, once crushed into the dust, burns away every calamity with Chaos and makes the “master” who once betrayed him kneel before an imperial path tempered in blood and flame.
Burn away the shackles, shatter the immortal heavens!
