“I came all this way. I’m exhausted!” Lin Zixi dragged his black suitcase up five flights of stairs in one go, then stopped at the landing to catch his breath.
The hallway was deathly quiet. The dorm room doors were a little shabby, and the air carried a faint musty smell. If new students hadn’t been coming up the stairs one after another, Lin Zixi would have wondered if he’d come to the wrong place.
