A Promise of Fireworks and Starlight

[Cheerful small-town girl × renowned architectural designer]

Lin Xiaoman was born and raised in Qinghe Town, where she runs a bakery. Gu Chenzhou is a well-known architectural designer from a bustling city. He comes to Qinghe Town for a rural renovation project and rents the old house next to Lin Xiaoman’s bakery as his studio.

When they first meet, Gu Chenzhou mistakes Lin Xiaoman for the project coordinator and treats her arrogantly, leading to a misunderstanding. Lin Xiaoman develops a terrible impression of this “city slicker.” But when a torrential downpour leaves the old house’s roof leaking, she puts their differences aside and brings tools to help him fix it. Their relationship gradually warms.

As they spend time together, they can’t help being drawn to each other.

“You can just keep moving forward and never look back. I’ll wait for you.”

“I want you to always be happy. I’ll protect everything you want to protect.”, Gu Chenzhou
