The title of this book is Simulation Game: From Rookie to Imperial Savior
[Beast Fantasy + Ghostly Martial Arts + Primordial Immortals + Modern Demons + Superpowered Metropolis, Multiple Worlds]
[A decisive protagonist who doesn’t play the saint, a single heroine, funny everyday moments, and a little romance]
This novel is divided into five major arcs: beast fantasy, ghostly martial arts, primordial immortals, modern demons, and a superpowered metropolis. There’s plenty of variety, so whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. The pacing is on the slower side, and the first volume is a fantasy adventure.
After losing his job and failing multiple interviews, Wang Chao is duped by a man claiming to work for the Blue Star Defense Bureau into joining a beta test for a game about saving another world. The man promises him a 100,000-yuan bonus if he passes, along with a full-time job at the game company, six types of insurance and two housing-fund contributions, meals and accommodation, and even an assigned apartment. Of course, Wang Chao isn’t fooled by his little tricks. But when the man says he’ll pay anywhere from 100 to 1,000 yuan just for participating and offering suggestions, Wang Chao tells him, “You’re a real good judge of character,” and follows him into a fully immersive simulation game.
His first session takes him to the Lingyun Realm, a cultivation world teeming with powerful monsters. Wang Chao struggles to survive in the wilderness, but on the second day, he stumbles upon a down-and-out disciple from a minor sect. Thus begins an epic tale of adventure and intrigue. As Wang Chao makes his way forward, he uncovers a conspiracy involving the supreme powerhouse of the Lingyun Realm and a fifth-rank monster. Through hard work and ingenuity, he gathers five Spirit Source Heartstones, proves his Dao, ascends to immortality, and clears the game.
But after completing it, he discovers the true nature of his original world: the simulation game isn’t a game at all. From then on, Wang Chao sets out to save other worlds, rising from a rookie savior to an imperial savior…
