I'm Taking the Family Fortune! And You Too!

[Face-slapping + reunion after years apart + fake marriage + uncle and sister-in-law] Summer Nights

The Gao family sends people to Europe to bring their second daughter, Gao Rui, home for an arranged marriage. Her stepmother would be delighted if she died abroad.

While on a business trip in Italy, Gao Rui runs into Xu Zeyuan, a lean, muscular man.

Xu Zeyuan recognizes her as the wild girl from the lemon orchard in their childhood,

but Gao Rui doesn’t realize that he was the chubby boy who lived next door.

Gao Rui mistakes him for a playboy, while Xu Zeyuan thinks she’s unreliable.

As she leaves the restaurant, Gao Rui declares, “If we meet again, I hope we never see each other again!”

As it turns out, she spends that very night in Xu Zeyuan’s room.

A summer breeze stirs feelings neither of them can hide.

Under her stepmother’s threats, Gao Rui is forced to get engaged to Xie Zhiheng, her arranged match.

Gao Rui can’t understand why Xie Zhiheng is so different from the boy she remembers knowing.

“Weren’t you pretty chubby when you were little?” she asks.

After the engagement party, Gao Rui sneaks into the bedroom of Xie Zhiheng’s younger brother.

To Xu Zeyuan, wearing nothing but a bath towel, she says, “Help me stay in the Xie family.”
