The Lampbearer of Wangchuan

[Everyday ghost-catching] + [comedy] + [mystery and investigations] This is a story about an immortal stranded in the human world! Even more absurdly, I’m the last immortal left here… The Immortal Venerable said that once the Wangchuan Lantern in my hands can no longer be lit, I can go to the Celestial Realm and reunite with everyone. I’ve guarded this lamp for centuries, full of anticipation. Every night when I light it, I hope it won’t catch, but I’m always disappointed! As its keeper, I soothe the dead at night, dispel their lingering obsessions, and watch them make their way to Wangchuan. At some point, I seem to have been caught up in a huge conspiracy. Strange things keep happening, and every day is thrilling and dangerous. I investigate cases by day and light the lamp by night, the very model of a modern overworked wage slave. It wasn’t until someone who looked exactly like the Immortal Venerable appeared at the Immortal Welcome Lodge that I found out: The Immortal Venerable’s word is as trustworthy as a ghost’s! My lamp is burning everyone’s immortal souls… The keeper of the lamp is destined to be alone. That is my fate.
