A century after the cataclysm, the lingering devastation wrought by the Seeding Ones still ravages the world. Earth has become a wasteland, ruled by mutated beasts. The old civilization has collapsed, and humanity huddles inside steel fortresses, struggling to survive amid twisted rules and deadly zones. Lin Shou, a scavenger at the very bottom of Furnace City, scrapes by in the shadow of acid rats and beast soldiers. His only advantage is his innate ability, [Lifebond]: he can form deep bonds with dogs, communicate with them, and slightly enhance their strength, while also unlocking their potential!
Cold, rational, and always putting profit first, Lin Shou refuses to become a tool of the beast soldiers. Starting with a feeble power at the Awakening realm, he takes command of a battle dog pack led by Ironback, an iron-boned mongrel, gradually adding native ferocious hounds such as mutated mastiffs and shadow-stalking wolfdogs. He scavenges the rusted wasteland, fights in polluted swamps, and ventures deep into Ironvine City to seize vital resources. With [Lifebond] and his self-created Myriad Beasts, One Source Scripture, he shares life and death with his battle pets and climbs steadily toward the summit.
But behind his growing power lies a cruel truth: Earth is merely an ecological testing ground for a higher civilization. Standing atop the remains of the Seeding Ones, Lin Shou looks back at the wasteland planet. Before him stretch the vast starry reaches and unknown watching eyes; behind him stands his loyal pack of battle dogs. He clenches his fist. Even if the universe is a cage, he will tear open a path to survival with fang and claw, and, with a star core as proof, hunt his way toward absolute freedom beneath the heavens!
The book is pretty good. The content and the character of the main character are quite attractive. I can see that the author is a novice but it's still good. Disadvantages: 1. The characterization is not three-dimensional (a common problem for novice authors, but it is acceptable) 2. The connection of the story is a bit messy and tight (the tightness may be due to the environment and the need to fight all the time, but I really don't understand how those dogs came about in more than 40 chapters) 3. For many lines, you can open a few more detailed pictures, so that the sense of substitution will be stronger. Overall, it is a good book despite its shortcomings.
Did the author rewrite it or something happened, but suddenly it felt like I had never seen it before 😂
From 42 to 43, I feel like I missed a dozen pictures. .
A rare book to read
It's not bad, but chapters 20 to 21 are incoherent and there's a big chunk missing in the middle 🤦
Everything is a gamble, all depends on luck [what] 😄
The author re-wrote it and changed everything. I thought I had read the wrong article! Watch again from the beginning!!!
It's well written, you can read it if you have nothing to do
Finally found a good book, it's so good😊
It's well written and interesting. The more you read it, the more you want to read it.
