Buddhists and Daoists Unite: The Heavenly Court’s Guide to Making Money

Comedy + no female lead + urban cultivation + a Taoist priest and a monk starting a business

The comedy doesn't start until Chapter 20.

I spent three days hanging around the Celestial Court's job market, and finally saw Buddha and the Jade Emperor shake hands and make peace.

"The economy's in decline, and incense-tax revenue has plummeted," the Jade Emperor said with a worried frown.

"The sharing economy calls for cross-industry collaboration," Buddha said, looking solemn and dignified.

So my sworn enemy, the Taoist priest Qingxu, and I were each bundled up by our respective founders and sent down to the mortal world to start a company.

The monk's CEO Dharma name was "Jiecai," and the Taoist's CFO name was "Qingpin."

Rule one of the employee handbook: The company's goal isn't money, it's merit!

Jiecai beats out a business plan for an IPO on a wooden fish, while Qingpin uses a peachwood sword to force the printer to spit out invoices.

> We exorcise vengeful ghosts as a subcontracting service and sell blessed routers to boost our numbers.

Until one day, a line of tiny print appeared in the underworld's IPO prospectus:

Acquirer: Three Realms Merit Group Co., Ltd. Legal representative: Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha
