An elite squad tasked with saving another world suffers an accident during a high-risk transmigration mission and is nearly wiped out. The emergency “Savior Recruitment Protocol” goes badly awry, locking onto the entire cast of a struggling comedy theater next door called Haha Laughs: Shen Mo, a perennial supporting actor known for his deadpan retorts; Su Shuang, a fiery queen of stand-up; Liu Qiansui, a washed-up magician whose tricks always go wrong; and A Mu, a gloomy ventriloquist who is forever arguing with his puppet.
This utterly combat-inept “comedy alliance” is forcibly dumped into a perilous otherworld. The System assigns them an impossible mission: stop the “Doomsday Death Knell” plan and defeat the cold-blooded Demon King Helios. They are forced into an absurd journey: making up jokes on the spot to leave their pursuers laughing, using botched magic tricks to disrupt enemy forces, and accidentally turning a dragon against its allies with a catchy square-dance song... Through one chaotic stroke of luck after another, they somehow make it to the Demon King’s lair. In the final battle, when Helios’s proudest world-ending curse is completely undone by the ultimate “comedic effect” they create together, the Demon King’s entire worldview shatters. The mission evaluation system awards them the highest entertainment score in history. Watching the defeated Demon King, Shen Mo offers some sincere advice: “Buddy, destroying the world is a dead end. Ever thought about switching to comedy? What you’re missing is a sense of humor.”
