Just as the young swordsman Lin Yu begins to make a name for himself in the martial world, the Shadow Cult quietly schemes to carry out the "Poison Shadow Plan," hoping to devastate the martial world of the Central Plains with poison gas canisters. Lin Yu joins forces with like-minded people such as Su Yi and Qin Yifeng, along with experts from Liujia Fort and the major sects of Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, and Kongtong. They set an ambush at Qingyan Gorge and engage the Shadow Cult in a fierce battle. After a hard-fought struggle, they successfully thwart the "Poison Shadow Plan" and temporarily preserve peace in the martial world.

The various sects respond swiftly and decide to split into two groups. One group, led by Lin Yu and the others, will head to the mysterious Mechanism City to find a way to defeat the "Heavenly Net" mechanism. The other group, consisting of the sect leaders, will strengthen security at the venue for the martial arts tournament.
In Mechanism City, Lin Yu and the others face a series of tests involving deadly mechanisms and traps. Relying on their wisdom and courage, they find the Mechanism City's mechanism master, Mo, at a critical moment
