The Dayu Dynasty opened a female subject for the first time and allowed women to participate in the imperial examination. Six extraordinary women, including Shen Zhixia, a medical girl from a poor family, Lin Wan'er, a merchant's daughter, and Su Mingyu, the daughter of a guilty minister, broke through the shackles of "a woman's lack of talent is a virtue" through breakthroughs in different fields such as medicine, business, and military arts, under the heavy oppression of the patriarchal society. Their path to awakening was intertwined with their personal destiny and the changes of the times, which ultimately pushed the dynasty to abolish the "ban on women" and ushered in women's participation in politics.
