The Gu Doctor's Beauty: The Bloodthirsty Prince's Palm Gu

Yun Xi, the holy maiden and master of Gu medicine from the southern borderlands, infiltrates the Central Plains to avenge her clan’s annihilation. But her life falls into the hands of Jun Yeli, the Prince of Jingbei, who is afflicted with a heart-devouring Gu. He sees her as the cure, chaining her by the neck and forcing her to cut out his heart and extract the Gu. She sees him as her enemy, using silver bells to suppress the poison while hiding murderous intent. When the heart-devouring Gu flares up, the tyrant’s eyes burn red as he mumbles brokenly through a nightmare, “Mother, don’t leave me”; when the bloodstained half of a Gu-marked jade pendant beneath his pillow bears the same imprint as the brand on the neck of a child’s corpse in a dry well

Only then does Yun Xi realize they have long been bound as twin sacrifices by a “heart-devouring love Gu”: if he dies, she must be buried with him; if he falls in love, the Gu will devour his soul.

And deep in the imperial palace, the Crown Prince and the High Priest are grinning as they drain the blood of children, waiting to refine the remains of these mortal enemies into a Gu dragon that will topple the realm!

She wields Gu as a blade and turns his heart into medicine. “My lord, your life is in my hands, including the part where you fall in love with me.” He breaks the chains and forges them into silver bells, then kisses her bloodstained lips amid the infernal flames. “If we die, we die together. If we live, we live together!”

He tramples mountains and rivers beneath his feet and brings her the antidote. “Stay by my side, and I’ll offer you the realm as your betrothal gift.”

She crushes the throne and points toward the ruined city with a laugh. “I want this place. A poison doctor follows her heart!”
