The Shadow Lord of the Shadow Sect

Beware your own shadow. In ancient times, tens of thousands of years ago, thousands of races lived on the Continent of Yanjie. Each race had its own fortune. When that fortune ran out, the race was destroyed and its nation fell. Yet the fortune of the entire continent was fixed: it could not be renewed, only stolen.

To ensure their own lasting prosperity, the races fought to seize fortune and claim creation's blessings, plunging the world into conflict. After ten thousand years of war, they were exhausted and the people were in uproar, so they signed a peace treaty. Even so, underhanded schemes continued to flare up from time to time.

Driven by a sinister plot, someone kept inciting war and harvesting souls. With different eye techniques in his left and right eyes and the Art of Shadows, Lin Shen forged alliances and set rivals against one another. He gathered rare beasts from the mountains and seas, restored his sect, founded an empire, and ultimately avenged himself, unified the world, and brought peace to all.
