Programmer Li Mo worked himself to death on a 996 schedule. After dying, he discovered that he hadn't been reincarnated. Instead, he had become a “System,” deployed to a world of swords and magic and bound to a Host named Ron.
Li Mo's “System KPI” was to help his Host become a savior. Otherwise, his “System core”, that is, his soul, would disappear completely. The problem was that his Host, Ron, had extraordinary talent but only wanted to farm in the countryside and enjoy life. This “ultimate slacker” had no interest in fighting monsters, leveling up, or saving the world.
And so began a hilarious battle of wits between Li Mo, the “most overachieving System in history,” and Ron, the “most laid-back Host in history.” Li Mo must try every trick in the book to make Ron stronger: threats, bribes, ridiculous quests, even manufacturing “accidents.” At the same time, he must unravel the ultimate secrets behind this world and the very existence of the System.
