The story begins with a bizarre murder case on a rainy night in Hong Kong. During the investigation, police detective Lin Yu discovered a lightning triangle tattoo on the back of the deceased's neck, accidentally uncovering a transnational drug conspiracy that spanned ten years. As the investigation deepens, he and the deceased's sister Shen Yue are involved in a mysterious organization called "Eye of Time" - this organization uses the new drug "Dream" to manipulate human time perception and create the "illusion of immortality."
