This story does not take place on Earth, and the mecha are not lifeless machines: they are conscious beings. The new king of the Mecha Galaxy discovers that human blood can enhance mecha abilities, so he brings large numbers of young people to the Mecha Galaxy. But some mecha are kind and willing to help humans. How will these weak and helpless people ever make it back home...
