The novel is adapted from real battlefield events and is an fictional narrative with "special military operations" as the background. A Russian reconnaissance team has no heroic rhetoric, only teddy bear heads scattered in the snow, poems falling while rolling cigarettes with Bibles, and a requiem played at dawn by a mortar modified with an organ pipe. And when the propaganda noise of politicians disappears, only the most primitive desire of human beings for survival is left in the snowfield, and there are moral tortures that are sharper than bullets.
Не уходи смиренно в эту добрую ночь — но ночная тьма на поле боя не знает конца.
(Don't go gentle into that good night—but the night of the battlefield never ends.)

No one? Autumn is wide and deep, and there are no inscriptions on the text. How difficult is it to endure? What does it mean?
