The two Tribulation Transcendence ancestors of Fuyang Sect have hit a dead end on the path to ascension: the icy sword immortal Cen Jing has lost her vitality from being too detached from worldly emotions, while the Thunder Immortal Wang Wei has developed a heart demon because of his secret crush on a fellow disciple. Ancestor Xuanji's divination settles the matter: no ascension until they pass their love trials!
Star-Dust Ancestor, who transmigrated from another world, slaps the table and laughs. “I know how to solve this! Put them on a dating show! Make them get together!” And so the cultivation world's most unprecedented, absurd extravaganza, “Have the Ancestors Passed Their Love Trials Today?” bursts onto the air:
- Cen Jing is forced to say sweet nothings and instantly turns into a tsundere with bright red ears. Wang Wei gets so nervous on his first date that he shakes and spills water all over a cloud gauze dress specially made by Yunmiao.
- During a race across the sea of clouds, Wang Wei drifts into a heart shape, dazzling the entire cultivation world. His spirit pet defects and offers up a jade slip detailing his embarrassing childhood bedwetting.
- The sword spirit AI bluntly says, “Host's heart rate is too high. Confess immediately, or I'll play the suona version of ‘The Lonely Song’!”
- A flashback to their past-life romance at an inn delivers a heartbreaking bad ending. The ancestors wipe away tears as they munch on melon seeds. “This time, they have to get a happy ending!”
The neighboring Tiangang Righteousness Sect denounces them as heretics, only for its own ancestor to get caught secretly watching the livestream. He insists he was “studying their tactics,” but in the end, the sect comes over as a team to learn dating tricks! When a demonic realm invasion disrupts the livestream, Wang Wei shields Cen Jing with his own body, staining his clothes with blood. At last, a crack appears in Cen Jing's heart of ice, untouched for ten thousand years...
Watch these hapless ancestors revamp the path to ascension during a chaotic cultivation-world dating show, spreading romance and embarrassing secrets across all three realms!
