Siheyuan: Surprise! I'm the State Banquet Chef

[Siheyuan] [Period Drama] [Gourmet] [System] [Feel-Good Story] [No Saintly Protagonist]

One spoonful drives off the enemy; one dish makes him a culinary god! Li Mubai, a state-banquet chef, is transported into the body of Li Xiangdong, a bullied apprentice in the steel mill cafeteria in the 1960s.

With an iron wok so dry you couldn't scrape out a drop of oil and vegetables boiled in plain water, everyone at the mill is starving and ravenous.

After binding himself to the "World's Culinary God System," Li Xiangdong begins his journey to turn his fortunes around.

After moving into the Siheyuan, he thrives, thanks to his extraordinary cooking skills and clear-eyed wisdom.
