Instanced Survival: Conquering a Celebrity from the Start

The apocalypse arrives, and a mysterious force field cuts the entire apartment building into separate spaces.

Jiang Chen has just split open a zombie’s skull with a fire axe when he hears the actress Chu Yao scream next door.

“System activated: Conquer or destroy. Choose one.”

He kicks open Chu Yao’s door and looks at the former top-tier star huddled in the corner. “You choose to be conquered? Then get on your knees.”

When the neighbors frantically bang on the door for help, Chu Yao instinctively reaches to open it.

Jiang Chen grabs her wrist, his gaze icy. “Feeling too compassionate? Look outside.”

Downstairs, a horde of zombies is tearing apart another idiot who opened his door.

Chu Yao trembles and pulls her hand back.

“Good.” Jiang Chen wipes the blood from his axe blade. “Next, it’s time to show the whole building who’s in charge.”
