Era background: The middle and early Ming Dynasty is set in the sensitive and turbulent period of the transition between Yingzong, Daizong, Xianzong and Xiaozong.
Main forces:
Jinyiwei: Nominally affiliated with the emperor's personal army, directly in charge of the bodyguards, patrols and arrests. There are the Northern and Southern Zhenfu Divisions (the Southern Division is responsible for the main bodyguards, and the Northern Division is responsible for the imperial edicts). Their power is deeply rooted, especially the hereditary military attache class. Features: Xiuchundao, Feiyu Suit, Tiqi.
Dongchang: It is commanded by the eunuch and eunuch (Admiral of Dongchang), who is extremely powerful and can monitor all officials, royal guards and civilians. The emperor's ears, eyes and minions, with eunuchs as the core. Characteristics: Banyu (mostly tough soldiers assigned or recruited by Jin Yiwei), ruthless methods.
West Factory: It can be set as a special organization that is (re)established at key points in the story. It is designed to check and balance Dongchang and Jinyiwei. It has great power and acts more domineeringly and openly. Supervised by the emperor's favorite eunuchs. Become a key variable and conflict flashpoint.
Core conflict: The struggle between factories and guards under the dependence and suspicion of imperial power, the struggle for power, the conflict of ideas (loyalty to the emperor? Defending the country? Personal gain?), Intelligence control, frame-ups, bloody court and arena. The protagonist struggles to survive, trying to protect himself and even change the situation.
