As the male lead of an angsty old novel that has been on hiatus for years, Nangong Gong thought he could coast through life on his looks. Who knew the plot was still limping along, and the System would suddenly awaken?
The System says he's the "protagonist."
Great, then why doesn't he have any cheats? No romance? And why does he have to jump off a cliff?
After finally dog-paddling his way to shore, he thinks he can make a comeback, only to discover:
- The male concubine he cherishes most is the villainous cult leader.
- The madam of the male brothel is the Left Guardian.
- The jade pendant he wears every day is the imperial military token that protects the kingdom.
- And he is a good-for-nothing male lead with negative luck, who can't die and can't become popular.
This is a story about "the plot has fallen apart, the System has gone crazy, everyone is acting their hearts out, and I'm the only one who's genuinely lost it."
He doesn't want to make a comeback. He just wants to keep his head down and see who could possibly have it worse than him.
This is my first time to write a book review. First of all, I really like this book. I thank the author for every paragraph he wrote. This book is also really full of ideas. I am amazed every time I read it. It is such an interesting idea. Moreover, Gonger is also growing up, allowing me to see your growth arc. Hikaru, from the beginning of escaping from fear to now the way he works hard for the people he cares about despite fear is really great. Each character is given a full soul by the author. The following are my personal feelings, because I am a high school student and I don't have enough time to watch it. In fact, it is not I am very careful, so there may be mistakes. Hua Shang gave me the smiling fox (I feel like Hua Xiang is a person who cares about appearance, probably a peacock type). Lian'er is a bit arrogant. She obviously cares about Gong'er's words, but Lian'er seems to be more frank now. It's really nice. With the development of the strange plot, I also wish the author good health, all the best, all his dreams come true, and a successful career. I also hope that readers who pass by can come and read this book. Finally, I would like to thank the boss for every story he wrote, which brought me a lot of happiness, and there are many supporting characters that impressed me deeply.
