A College Student? No, I’m Still a Government Employee at the Anomalous Affairs Bureau

High school student Lu Zhao is stunned to learn that his parents, who vanished five years ago, are actually Others. His life is turned upside down. After the college entrance exam, he is taken to an underground paranormal abilities base disguised as a meteorological bureau, where his body is remade and his mind tempered, making him a dual-power ability user. He carries out missions as a civil servant for the Paranormal Affairs Bureau: capturing mythical beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas, solving a gu-worm mystery in an upscale neighborhood, and fighting a bloody battle at a TV tower to stop a Nanyang gu master from sacrificing the entire city...

Each life-or-death mission brings him closer to the truth behind his parents’ disappearance, but also leaves him facing the desperate prospect of his spiritual sea running dry. Even after shedding the aura of his powers and returning to campus, the seemingly ordinary life of a meteorology student is still fraught with hidden currents. Financial warfare, bloodline beasts, a mysterious professor: beneath this city’s calm surface, the storm of the paranormal world never lets up.
