An extreme game of push and pull
On her birthday, renowned mystery screenwriter Chu Jiulin received a wristwatch delivered in person by Pei Zhouyan, the rising star who played the male lead in her script. From that day on, she began having strange dreams. In them, a man repeatedly called out the name “Ruyan,” but she could never make out his face.
By chance, Chu Jiulin discovered that the wristwatch had the incredible power to transport her through time, taking her back to the Republic of China era a hundred years earlier. From then on, her life was divided between two worlds: by day, she transmigrated to the Republic of China and became a detective, investigating one bizarre case after another; by night, she returned to the present and continued writing her scripts.
While investigating a case, she met Lu Minghao, a renowned young marshal from the Republic of China era. He looked exactly like Pei Zhouyan. Even more astonishingly, the first time Lu Minghao saw Chu Jiulin, he blurted out, “Ruyan, you've finally come back.” Once they became familiar with each other, the two began a daily game of intense push and pull.
As they grew closer, the fragments in Chu Jiulin's dreams gradually became clearer, and a deep love story spanning a century began to come to light. At the same time, Lu Minghao seemed to be realizing that his identity might be far more complicated than he knew...
