Twelve thousand years ago, the ancient Huaxia people fled the pursuit of the Star Devourers aboard ten arks, traveling from Orion to the Solar System. After landing, they named their home planet Huaxia Star. They transformed Maya Star (Mars) and Feathered Serpent Star (destroyed, and now the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars) into energy and defense bases. They passed the spark of civilization on to the primitive humans of Earth, and their society flourished for around three thousand years.
Then the Star Devourers caught up, and a great war began. Feathered Serpent Star became an asteroid belt, while Maya Star turned into a lifeless planet. In the final battle, Ark Nine, Wangshu, which had become Earth's moon, took the brunt of the attack. Unable to fly, it remained in orbit, keeping watch over Huaxia Star. To preserve the spark of civilization on Huaxia Star, Fuxi and Nuwa resolutely led the remaining nine arks toward the center of the Spiral Galaxy, now known as the Milky Way, drawing the Star Devourers after them.
The one hundred thousand survivors left behind on Huaxia Star waited for the Return Day. Three thousand years later, their descendants, the Sanxingdui people, used technology left over from the great war, along with bronze artifacts and unearthed Azure Stones, to initiate the first Return. They hoped to repair Wangshu and then travel to Maya Star to find the energy base. But their technology fell short, and the Return failed. The immense void energy of the Azure Stones tore Huaxia Star into two realms: Earth and Blue Star. Earth developed into a modern civilization, while the fractured Blue Star took most of the Azure Ore veins with it and gave rise to the Azure Civilization. The two realms ultimately began to merge after a highway collapse and a quantum communications experiment.
