The late Han and Three Kingdoms era spanned a hundred long years. It wasn't just Sun, Liu, and Cao, nor only Guan, Zhang, Zhao, Ma, and Huang. It wasn't just the Xuns, Guo Fengxiao, Wolong and Fengchu, or the Qiaos, great and small. And it certainly wasn't just Diaochan, Lü Bu, and Zhou Lang. There was also Deng Mao, killed by Zhang Fei's spear; Zhou Cang, who carried Guan Yu's blade; Wang Lang, cursed to death by the Chancellor; the mysterious old Taoist Nan Hua; and the Zhang brothers, Zhang Jue, Zhang Liang, and Zhang Bao, whose achievements were little more than experience packs for the warlords.
There were countless other ordinary characters, all sorts of people who achieved nothing and lived simple lives. They became footnotes to the heroes, adding bustle to those grand spectacles, losing their lives to a casual slash from those imposing generals or being outwitted by those brilliant strategists. But they, too, had parents. They, too, had hopes for their lives. They, too, thought they were different from everyone else. They were the heroes of their own stories. So I invite you to see things from their perspective, hear their stories, and discover what the heroes looked like through their eyes. Add in a few primordial beasts and divine weapons, along with some mystic arts and strange wonders, and see how the late Han is thrown into turmoil, shaking heaven and earth.
