Synopsis

"A Dream of Red Mansions" was written by Chen Shaohai in the Qing Dynasty. It was written during the Jiaqing period and has one hundred chapters. This book is one of the longest, most complex and influential works in the Qing Dynasty among the sequels to "A Dream of Red Mansions". The story continues the ending of "A Dream of Red Mansions" and is set more than ten years after the fall of the Jia family. The core character Zhu Mengyu is the reincarnation of Jia Baoyu, born into the wealthy Zhu family in Yangzhou. He is naturally affectionate and has a gentle temperament. He reunites with the reincarnations of important figures such as the "Twelve Beauties of Jinling" in his previous life and renews his relationship in this life. The book takes the marriage between Zhu Mengyu and many reincarnated women as the main line, and also incorporates the rise and fall, joys and sorrows of Zhu, Song, Jia, Gui, Wang, Xue, Bai, Liu and other large families.
