Rainfall Fracture

[Pure love + bittersweet romance + mild angst + healing]

Blunt, flirtatious Jiang Cheng and aloof on the outside, warm on the inside Lin Huai

Fate decides, destiny decrees.

Those eight words were like an ancient prophecy, quietly tying an invisible thread between them. From then on, it could never be cut, and the knot only grew more tangled.

But just as their true feelings came to light, the countdown to their separation began. Rumors spread across campus, and relentless pressure forced Lin Huai to go abroad.

“He and I met, but we were never meant to be.”

“When you said forever, I thought it was far away.”

That day, torrential rain poured down, announcing her departure without a goodbye. The messages he sent sank without a trace, leaving only a glaring red exclamation mark.

After weathering a tremendous emotional upheaval, Jiang Cheng chose to shoulder his responsibilities.

He couldn't find his way out of this rainy season, so he waited, slowly.

Waiting for the rain to stop, waiting for her to come back.

“I've never understood the words ‘there's nothing I can do’ so completely before.”

“You left. What about me? What am I supposed to do?”

And so, they went years without meeting again.

“Only when we're together can the sky be clear.”
