While visiting an exhibition of Water Margin artifacts, Song Xiaofeng, a modern history student, unexpectedly transmigrates to the reign of Emperor Huizong in the Northern Song dynasty. He becomes the son of a hunter from Chenjia Village near Liangshan Marsh. Using his modern knowledge to treat the villagers and earn their respect, Song Xiaofeng soon falls afoul of a local tyrant and is framed and thrown into prison. On the way to his place of exile, he encounters the convoy carrying the Birthday Gifts, escorted by Yang Zhi, the "Blue-Faced Beast." Song Xiaofeng sees through Wu Yong and the others' scheme but chooses to help them rob the gifts, bringing him into the orbit of the Liangshan heroes.
I want to know what the author wanted to write? Knowing the outcome of Liangshan, you still worked hard for the Song Dynasty? In the ending, it is obvious that it is not Taiwei Gao Qiu who wants to kill Liangshan, but the emperor himself!
