Torrential Rain Engulfs the City: The Strange Downpour

An extraordinary storm strikes, leaving ordinary college student Li Xiaoman with only a phone running low on battery and her instinct to survive.

Li Xiaoman's sixth sense has never sounded such a sharp warning: the storm outside her window is hiding deadly danger.

Floodwater rises past the first-floor windows, and the entire dormitory building plunges into darkness as the power goes out.

She and her roommate, Lin Xiaoyu, lock the door and listen to cries rising and falling in the hallway.

Their power bank has only three bars left, and the phone signal keeps cutting out.

Murky floodwater is seeping in under the door, and all they have on hand are textbooks, towels, and half a packet of biscuits.

"When will the rescue team get here?" Lin Xiaoyu turns on her phone with trembling hands. Its light reveals the tear tracks on her face.

"They'll come. We have to hold on until daybreak."

But the water keeps rising. When they hear someone trying to pick the lock outside, they finally realize that the flood isn't the only threat in this disaster.
