Three hundred years after the sovereign united the realm, the Great Ming dynasty teeters on the brink of collapse as the power of the ministers clashes with imperial authority. The God of War, Prince Ning, is framed and his entire household slaughtered. His only son is rescued and escapes, but is afflicted with the Netherworld's Frost Poison. He plunges into the martial world and marches to war, repelling invasions by the Japanese and the Anmian Kingdom, crushing every enemy at home and abroad, and ultimately ascending the throne. He will restore the Great Ming to its former heights and bring all nations to pay tribute!
