I Pretended to Be the New Emperor's Sister-in-Law, and He Forced Me Into Love

In the second year after the founding emperor Xiao Yang ascends the throne, he issues a call throughout the land to find his sister-in-law, Su, who was separated from the family by war.

Feng Youying transmigrates into the body of a lowly Yangzhou courtesan. To escape her madam’s pursuit, she has no choice but to use disguises to impersonate the new emperor’s sister-in-law, Su, and enter the palace.

To her surprise, the new emperor Xiao Yang treats her with great respect. He even grants her the title of Princess Consort of Jing’an and lets her remain in the palace to enjoy her later years.

Feng Youying feels guilty and terrified, but also thinks her hardships are finally over.

Then, on the third day of impersonating the empress dowager, she accidentally overhears the new emperor Xiao Yang speaking quietly to his trusted guard: “My elder brother was the person I respected most. The only thing he couldn’t let go of before he died was his wife, Su. Now that I’ve found her, I’ll send her to join him in the afterlife on the anniversary of his death.”

A thunderbolt from a clear sky!

So the new emperor Xiao Yang searched the land for his sister-in-law not to honor his brother, but to have her buried with him!

Counting down the days until the death anniversary, Feng Youying trembles with fear. How can she make the new emperor abandon his murderous intent within seven days?
