Three Parts Sweet, Like Sugar-Preserved Green Plums

Chen Youyou and Cheng Qingyu grew up together. They know each other so well they've seen each other naked as babies and know practically every embarrassing thing about one another. Whenever they meet, they trade barbs. So she'd never thought of Cheng Qingyu as a man. She thought he was a sharp-tongued fox with a bellyful of schemes. When her parents tried to set them up, she even said, “If I ever fall for someone like Cheng Qingyu, I must be blind.” What she didn't know was that Cheng Qingyu had had his eye on her for years. He personally showed her what it means when “the person who understands you best knows exactly how to play you”: The rumor around campus that they were dating? He started it. He went from a sickly weakling to a fit, muscular man? Because that's her type. The flowers he casually handed her on Valentine's Day? He'd gone out of his way to buy them. Why did he never admit in front of others that she was his little sister? Because he was always looking for a way to become her boyfriend. Chen Youyou started to find him irresistibly charming. When she realized that “good friends” could no longer explain why her heart raced and her cheeks flushed whenever she saw Cheng Qingyu, it finally dawned on her. She was blind. She'd actually fallen for Cheng Qingyu. After she'd “fallen into the trap,” she tried asking the sly man, “Can I still return you?” Cheng Qingyu kissed her outright, smiling. “You promised me forever more than ten years ago. There's no escaping me now.”
