Shen Zhiyi has been reborn. The good news: she's bound to System 996. The bad news: from the start, she's supposed to take her wicked stepsister's place and go to the countryside. A modern taekwondo champion wakes up as a pitiful young woman in the 1980s. With a cruel stepmother, a clueless father, and a scheming stepsister who steals her place in the countryside, Shen Zhiyi cracks her knuckles. Thanks for the invitation, but I'm tearing up this script!
Zhou Yanchuan is a cool, restrained, nationally renowned researcher. In public, he's a genius; behind the scenes, he always happens to show up when she needs him: anonymously sending her maps, posing as a technician to fix equipment, and keeping her company at the factory through a stormy night... Until she pulls off his fake beard and discovers his panda eyes after he stayed up all night drawing factory blueprints for her, having taken a knife meant for her. Tsk, this man may seem calm, but could he secretly be a hopeless romantic?
This is the tale of a directionally challenged beauty who uses her fists and wits to thrash the worst sorts, lead her neighbors to prosperity, and, along the way, turn a cold research big shot into a devoted puppy. It's an 1980s rags-to-riches story, with romance! From canned-food factory worker to head of a business empire, her journey leads to the stars and the sea, and... the home where someone always leaves the navigation light on for her.
