The Lazy Crown Prince: I’m Tearing This Kingdom Apart!

Xiao Xian, the capital’s champion slacker, drunkenly spouts off once and is mistaken by the old emperor for a “genius at governing the state.” The emperor forcibly appoints him crown prince. With his dream of wandering the martial world shattered, Xiao Xian angrily decides to slack off to the bitter end, determined to sabotage his own position and regain his freedom. Yet the harder he tries to “undermine things,” the more he somehow solves court crises, purges corrupt officials, and wins the people’s hearts. He even stumbles onto the path of cultivation. The court officials go from grieving in dismay, to staring in disbelief, and finally to declaring, “This is actually pretty great!” As Xiao Xian “dismantles the empire,” he accidentally discovers that behind it lies a shocking game of power between immortal sects and demons. His seemingly “useless” slacker nature turns out to be the key to breaking the deadlock. In the end, as various powers, including his own father, “force him into the fray,” the slacker crown prince who only wants to run away gradually grows from a “disaster to the realm” into a true protector. But his heart, ever longing for the freedom of the martial world, never changes.
