Strange Tales of a Hundred Flowers

After failing the imperial exams, the embittered scholar Du Heng is on his way home when, on a stormy night, he wanders into the remote Hundred Blossoms Manor. Sixty extraordinary flowers bloom out of season, and sixty stunning flower spirits appear, each bringing a terrifying tale steeped in humanity’s darkest impulses: greed, jealousy, betrayal, lies... Each night, he hears three stories. Once a flower spirit has finished telling hers, she withers, leaving a strange pattern burned into his sleeve. Du Heng gradually realizes that these century-old vengeful spirits’ stories are intimately connected to his own family’s grave sins. When the final flower spirit reveals that he is the reincarnation of the true culprit, the manor becomes a mirror in which his soul is put on trial: will he sink into darkness as its new master, or face all sixty sins and seek redemption at dawn, when every flower has withered?
