Su Yan was known throughout the municipal police bureau as an icy beauty in uniform, as cold as frost. She followed the law and cared nothing for personal ties.
Lu Ye was a name that struck terror into the underground world.
By day, he was a business magnate; behind the scenes, he was a powerful figure who could decide whether people lived or died with a single word.
Yet he was upright to the core, meting out justice on heaven's behalf and never straying onto the path of evil.
Everyone said that black and white could never coexist.
Until a major case arose one day...
Su Yan was under pressure from the powerful and unable to make headway.
Lu Ye led his men straight in and swept the entire street clean, saying calmly:
“Anyone who dares stand in Officer Su's way while she investigates this case will have to answer to me first.”
Later, someone asked Lu Ye:
“You run with the underworld, and she wears a police uniform. Aren't you afraid she'll arrest you?”
Lu Ye looked at Su Yan, who had just returned from an assignment, and smiled.
“I walk the righteous path, and she upholds justice.
We were made for each other.”
