Fated by Snow's Song

I vow to spend three lifetimes with you, and grow old by your side.

I’ll wait for the first snow to fall, and for an old friend to return.

The snow between my brows has yet to melt; my longing cuts to the bone.

A shallow love scatters like the wind, while a deep bond leaves snow along the road.

A white horse breaks through the green mountains; swordlight glints coldly on the wine.

I walk alone beneath snow-covered shoulders; an empty tower holds an old sword.

Twenty-seven farewell letters, as the setting sun swallows our vows.

I can only lament that we couldn’t have it all; the young man never grew gray.
