My Husband Cheated with His Assistant, and Now He Regrets Losing Me

My husband called to say he wouldn’t be home tonight. There was an urgent matter at the company he had to deal with. I softly agreed. He sounded apologetic, gently soothing me over the phone: “Honey, I promise it won’t happen again. From now on, I’ll get my work sorted out ahead of time so I can spend time with you.” Thinking of the taunting messages that had been flooding my phone not long ago, I didn’t answer. I only urged him: “Go on.” I knew the so-called urgent company matter was just an excuse. He was going to see the woman he kept on the side, who was now pregnant. But he didn’t know that I was pregnant too. Not long ago, though, that unborn child had been forcibly taken from me by that woman herself. And I had decided to leave him, too. There would be no next time. I would never come back.
