The Investiture of the Gods: A Record of Divine Visages

Chen Ming is a devoted homebody who is obsessed with Investiture of the Gods. More than anything, he can't accept the tragic fate of the Turtle Spirit Holy Mother. One night, while cursing the original story, he transmigrates into the world of Investiture of the Gods and witnesses the Mosquito Taoist drain the Turtle Spirit Holy Mother until nothing remains but an empty shell of skin. Desperate to bring his idol back to life, he recklessly tries to “put on” her skin, only to be consumed by it. **His bones reshape, his Adam's apple vanishes, and his chest grows heavy**. He has become the Turtle Spirit Holy Mother, completely!

Even worse, this body comes with the cultivation of a Daluo Golden Immortal and the karmic ties of the Jie Sect. He has no choice but to play the role of an aloof female immortal under the watchful eye of Sect Master Tongtian, endure Fire Spirit Holy Mother linking arms with him and calling him “Senior Sister,” and handle Lady Yunxiao's late-night heart-to-heart in her bedroom... **Gender identity? Secret identity in danger? No, first I need to survive the Investiture of the Gods calamity!**

When the Western Teachings tear through space and time to attack the “male version” of himself in his original world, the Turtle Spirit Holy Mother, forced to cross worlds and save him, faces the ultimate social-death mission: **“Win yourself over and protect yourself around the clock.”** He has to stop the Mosquito Taoist from taking the form of a beautiful woman to assassinate his “former self,” keep from criticizing his own “self's” slovenly lifestyle, and, worst of all, deal with the fact that **this body actually blushes when it sees “himself”?!**

**Trapped in another's skin, with a gender shrouded in mystery.**

**Is this tribulation a test of karma, or of the heart?**
