Journey to the West: This Ragtag Crew Needs a Reboot

[Lighthearted + Wild Imagination + Fantasy + Bold Reimagining + Comedy + Leveling Up] A female Tang Sanzang: handsome men from across the Three Realms accompany me on a new Journey to the West. Whoever wins me wins the world? This novel weaves together a series of delightful short stories to tell a brand-new version of the journey. The Eighty-One Tribulations are packed with excitement, every single one of them...

The protagonist, Chi Qian (originally named Gui Xiaolan), is the last surviving member of the turtle spirit clan from Tianchi Lake on Changbai Mountain. Her laziness became so legendary that it alarmed the Heavenly Court. After four masters forcibly helped her win a competition, she became the person in charge of the “Journey West to Fetch the Scriptures Again” project, replacing Tang Sanzang on the old team.

As Tang Sanzang’s replacement, Chi Qian takes on three handsome disciples, each with a very different style:

First disciple Wu Gang: A godly clansman and brawny lumberjack from Guanghan Palace, wielding Pangu’s Axe of Creation.

Second disciple Zhu Xiaoba: A clever human strategist, a breathtakingly beautiful, fair-skinned prince who carries a fan concealing hidden weapons but speaks in a thick northeastern accent.

Third disciple A Yin: A demon, a mysterious white-haired man with different-colored eyes, cold and taciturn, dressed in black, immune to every poison, and gifted with mysterious dark magic.

Together they travel through all kinds of hardships and dangers, while Chi Qian’s true identity gradually comes to light...

This is an outrageous reimagining of Journey to the West, created purely for fun and wild imagination. If it’s not your thing, please don’t flame me. Thank you.
