First of all, in my story, the protagonist is actually Li Liankun, and Wu Yi is just my way of telling the story from my own perspective. And because I am a person who disrespects immortals and gods, Wu Yi also has elements of disrespecting immortals and gods.
Regarding Wu Yi's low starting point, my idea is that Wu Yi is just an ordinary child who has just grown up. Like most people in reality, he only has a little understanding of mysterious things from novels and fantasy, not to mention his starting point. In addition, he is a bit of a bear, does not respect gods and gods, and is very curious, so he likes to mess around and gets into trouble easily (this is what I did when I was 17 or 18).
Finally, regarding the setting, I have actually never seen Lin Zhengying's movies. It's not that he is bad, but I haven't seen them. The relationship between Wu Yi and Li Liankun is actually not a master and a disciple, but just a friend.
