Fate: Sea of Sulfur

When a rift in the ley lines of Iwo Jima spews forth a Holy Grail steeped in the original sins of war, a cauldron of calamity filled with the blood debts of colonialism and the cries of the dead, the Pacific volcanic atoll becomes an infernal battlefield unlike any before. Two adjudicators tear the rules apart: the golden adjudicator casts dice that bind heaven and earth, dividing the burning island into territories governed by law; the false saint softly recites a hymn of salvation, weaving a plot to restore a fallen nation amid the shadows of corpses. On scorched earth beneath plumes of sulfur, seven Heroic Spirits descend alongside their Masters: a geologist awakens a Lancer who strides across the waves on foot; a Russian officer commands a Rider who charges aboard an icebound ship; a girl in a wheelchair joins forces with a Caster to build a bulwark of words; and a mad magus unleashes a Berserker who feeds on chains and black coffins. Yet beneath the smoke of war lurks an even more ancient malice: the Sulfur God Ancestor (Beast VI/S), using the island as an altar, is rewriting history in an attempt to overwrite human history with a counterfeit scripture of Yamatai!

The adjudicator’s dice are about to decide the final outcome, while the saint’s chains of the dead are on the verge of snapping. Only the fractured brilliance of three pillars can pierce the eternal night: the Lancer’s sea-quelling halberd cleaves through the lies surrounding the divine corpse, the Avenger of the late Ming dynasty’s wokou raids burns away the lingering souls of old grudges, and the Caster’s fragmentary scroll inscribes the truth amid the ashes. A broken halberd, flames of vengeance, a fragmentary scroll: can they forge a throne of salvation amid the tainted tide? In the sulfurous sea, every miracle must be written in blood.
