Awakening from a Dream

A COC chapter, “A Journey Through the Dreamlands,” paying tribute to the legendary pioneers of Cthulhu Mythos fiction. If the dream of one person, or N people, exists like a bubble in the abyssal cosmos, then the dreams of countless living beings form innumerable bubbles of every hue, adorning the vast starry sky. Is reality nothing more than a dream, with dreams being all that is real? Or do both sides exist just as truly? In the grandeur of the cosmos, where do those ineffable gazes and blind forces come from? Unpredictable, inexplicable matrix distortions in reality... singular events in dreams that send SAN plummeting, twisted and incomprehensible...

Investigators who awaken with memories of both dreams and reality have not awakened through evolution. They have instead fallen under an unknown curse. When knowledge and faith become lies spun by higher-dimensional fools, before the meaning of all existence can shatter, the only truth is the --- dawn of consciousness in the universe!

Amid boundless dreams, perhaps some person, some thing, or some kind of existence can trace everything back to its dawn? For hundreds of millions of years, forms of consciousness and existence have continued to radiate and spread, yet few have ventured down the one true path.

Science is consciousness, faith is consciousness, art is consciousness, emotion is consciousness, sensation is consciousness, and everything in reality and the Dreamlands is merely another form of consciousness. All consciousness seems to have neither beginning nor end, and yet to contain countless beginnings and endings...

Now, what kind of dawn of consciousness holds the truth that can save all existence?
